Ellie is a circus artist based in Melbourne, Australia, specialising in contortion and aerial hoop. Ellie tried to branch out to other circus disciplines but found she just wanted to spend all of her time doing two things… so she got really good at those two things.Ellie fell into circus in 2018 through adult community aerial classes and very quickly found a bizarre talent for folding herself in half. Since then she has trained with master contortion trainers Serchmaa Bayamba and Soliana Ersie. Ellie’s first circus love is aerial hoop, her aerial style is dynamic, bouncy and fun and she loves to spin so fast it makes you feel a little ill, all done while smiling from ear to ear.
Ellie has performed all across Melbourne in shows events, festivals and competitions.Ellie likes to move like cold water - fluid, refreshing and crisp, flowing from one move to the next and leaving people wondering how she got there. Ellie’s performance is hypnotic, fluid and awe inspiring; treasuring those little moments in between the tricks to create seamless movement from start to finish. Ellie combines character work with high-level skills to bring captivating and memorable performances to audiences of all kinds.
